In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow" I say! "I will call on Jim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
"Here's a telegram sir," "Jim died today."
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

The difference between reality and fiction?
Fiction has to make sense.
Find a job you love,
and you'll never have to work a day in your life.
Keeping high aspirations, moderate expectations,
and small needs.
There's no elevator to success,
you have to take the stairs.
If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams,
and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined,
he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
True friendship still continues to grow
even over the greatest distance.
A best friend
Stands by you
When no one else cares
Understands you
When no one else tries
Believes in you
When no one else does
A good friend can get you through anything.
If you are not willing to move mountains for your friends,
they won't be willing to move them for you.
If people don't believe that mathematics is simple,
it's because they don't know how complicated life is.
Life is not having and getting,
but being and becoming.
Destiny is not a matter of chance,
it is a matter of choice;
it is not a thing to be waiting for,
it is a thing to be achieved.
Life is a strange, hard, wonderful place
full of dangers and treasures.
History teaches us that
people have never learnt anything from history.
My best friend and I can do anything or nothing
and have the best time.
When things go wrong, I don't have to go with them.
